Do you have one of these? And then some...

We pass these guys on our way to church.

Remember that book we got at the library a couple of weeks ago?

Now being city gals, we might never have been able to identify these had it not been for this...

We don't want to sound ummm... dumb.... but we think it may be an ox, according to the picture above. Now, the BIG question is why are there oxen in town, in Riverview, Florida? Alas, a question I may never know the answer to. Watch out! He's spotted us RUN AWAY!!!! (In Monte Python they say this instead of retreat, quite humorous.)

Anyway, I got down to business this weekend and whipped up that green dress for my Little Companion.

Got it cut out Thursday night,

Whipped it up Friday night. (Don't mind that box of hangers, we took care of it .... of course after the picture was taken.)

Made Little Companion try it on Saturday. She was very pleased. Looks like it may fit her for a couple of years. The little purse was fun to make. Now she has somewhere for her hankies!

And of course we went thrifting. Found what I refer to as a tuffet, just looks like it should have a little Miss Muffet a sitting on it. Also found this little drop leaf table, originally from Havertys, for $12.00.

Little Companion went trick or treating chaperoned by her mother. We had what seemed to be a very busy weekend that passed way too quickly!

Hope you had a restful weekend!

Hi, Valerie,
We have these bulls in Texas. I believe it is called a brahma bull. You can google and see some images to check for sure. I love, love the sweet dress you made your little one. The material is so pretty and festive! She looks very cute for trick or treat, too. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I always enjoy your company! Vicki

Hi Valerie! Oh I appreciate you following my blog.
That looks like a bull to me! Yep, I believe Vicki is right - I live in Texas too.
Now your little companion is so sweet and you did a great job on that cute little green dress. Makes me a tad sad - I used to sew for my daughter, she's 34 now and about to give me my first grandbaby! She was always so proud to wear the dresses I sewed for her.
I'll be looking forward to more visits from you.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
