Heart of the Home

Welcome to our cottage kitchen!

And thank you very much Sheila at http://notesongs.blogspot.com/ for inviting us to your Heart of the Home party!

I Cor. 13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

We shined up our sink.

We looked to the right and...

to the left.

We checked from up above and...

down below and are pleased to invite you in. Please come on in!

Our little cozy kitchen where we have been known to have chefed up a chiffon cake in the past.

Normally Little Companion and I have this ladder out because well, we are not as tall as some.

I bought this blender at a thrift store. It even had the cover still with it. It works great. It reminds me of one my mom had way back when.

Thank you for visiting our cottage kitchen. We leave the light on and folks tend to come through the back door here. Come on in and chat for awhile.

P.S. don't you love your high faucet?
We had the same blender! :)

Charming kitchen. I think my mom had a blender like that too! The plaque is perfect. Stopping by from Note Songs party. Hope you'll come over to Atticmag and see our kitchens - it's a three for one!

Hi Valerie and thank you for the tour of your sweet kitchen! Now, I certainly understand about the little ladder! I'm short too and have little stools all over the place! Love your pretty yellow curtains on your window - the sun shining through looks so pretty! Now, I'm pretty olden and must tell you, I have a blender like that! :) Still works like a charm!
Thank you so much, Valerie for coming to my party.
You are a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Sweet kitchen!! That blender is a great one and they just don't make them like the used too!! Had a friend who bought a new front load washer and dryer and she said the salesman (and she also checked it out) said to buy the warranty because they won't last more then 5-10 years- most start having problems with the computer after 2!!!! I am keeping my early 70's washer and dryer after hearing that!!!

Always nice to meet another sis in Christ!!

Thanks for the tour of your cozy, homey kitchen. IMHO, white cabinets always look so clean and cheerful! I love the idea of the stool. That's one of the first things I need to get for my new kitchen, as I can't reach the tall cabinets either. :D

P.S. For many, many years, I was a medical transcriptionist too.

Beautiful kitchen! I love your cabinets ♥ I wish I could have two kitchens one with the white cabinets and one with the darker wood. I also have a blender just like yours. Your kitchen is so cozy and inviting. I'll be right over for a cup of tea :>)

You have an inviting kitchen. I like that you've "chefed up" some treats :). I'm surprised your blender has lasted, we go through them somewhat like tissues...

I just gave my blender of 36 years (was a wedding gift) to Goodwill. It still worked but I haven't used it in years. It looks just like the one you got at a thrift store. LOL! Cute kitchen! Thanks for sharing.
