The end of the weekend

Well I finished my doily for the Crochet along hosted by Glor at
http://glor-crochetgalore.blogspot.com/2010/10/crochet-long-1918-pattern.html.
I used
a variegated thread consisting of yellow, baby blue, green, and pink.
Really makes me think of cotton candy and Easter when I look at it.

Thank you Glor I had a wonderful time with this!

We are not thinking of Easter at this time here in North Dakota, we are all waiting for winter to hit. The snow is supposedly set to begin sometime Wednesday or Thursday. While driving home today from church we passed this sign.
Ya, nice thought but I don't think it's going to work!

Hope you have a cozy week.

I will also be linking up with Sally at
http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/ for Blue Monday. One of the colors in the doily is a light baby blue. Happy Blue Monday!

That's a pretty colour thread. It does remind me of cotton candy too!

I have several vintage pieces of crochet. I really like yours with the mixed colors. You did a very nice job and with a prefect touch of blue.

I have always admired fine work like this, perhaps because I never could learn to do it!

Happy Blue Monday, Valerie!

Your doily is lovely. I hope you have a mild winter this year too.

Without winter, there would be no spring! However, I am feeling the same way....in the NW it is rain and grey skies, I'm not looking forward to. You do beautiful work. Thanks for visiting and introducing me to your lovely blog.

Wow your crochet piece is gorgeous! I don't like winters either, and I live in the south!

Hi Sweetie,
Your doily does look like Easter and is sooo cute!

This sunshine gal can't even begin to imagine wintering with you up there!! The low 50's are about as cold as I can handle comfortably! And that is only if there isn't any wind!!

I'll pray that it is milder for you for sure!!

Have a lovely week sweetie!
HUGS n joy,
Becky

I admire your skill. Unfortunately, I spend my time writing and really would like to paint. I've never made a doily, but love the subtle pastel colors you used.
