World Ice Art Championships 2010

Last weekend we were able to enjoy the ...

This is a yearly even held here in Fairbanks, Alaska.

There are different ice sculptures throughout town in front of buildings, but once a year the World Ice Art Championships are held.

A warm and inviting fireplace...

Fishies...

Beautiful works of art.

Polar bear swimming. See the little fish swimming beside him?

I believe this was my favorite.

Some of these are huge! See the folks working? Some of the artists were using blow torches.

An Aquarium...

When I saw this one it reminded me of Miss Janice over at http://etiquettewithmissjanice.blogspot.com. Miss Janice, this one's for you!

Little Companion and my daughter slid, I stayed upright and took pictures :).

Little old lady who lived in a shoe.

Ice tunnel.

We enjoyed our time very much. I am so glad we were able to see these magnificent sculptures!
