Hello!

Well here was our Thanksgiving tablescape. We had a lot of fun with this. Anabelle and I made the placemats. We used Homer Laughlin restaurant-style china. We also chose retro glasses and our napkin fold was diamond in a square. Everything had to be short and compact to be able to see each other and still put food on the table. We had a great time with this project.

We also made the Thanksgiving turkeys CeeKay shared with us at Thinkin' of Home. Thanks CeeKay!

I so enjoyed seeing everyone's Thanksgiving and fall pictures and look forward to sharing the Christmas season with you all over the miles.

Time for a poem!

The Winds of Fate

Ella Wheeler Wilcox

One ship drives east and another drives west

With the selfsame winds that blow,

'Tis the set of the sails

And not the gales

Which tells us the way to go.

Like the winds of the sea are the ways of fate,

As we voyage along through life:

'Tis the set of a soul

That decides its goal,

And not the calm or the strife.

Great pictures! I really like the pilgrim hats. The best part must be to eat them afterwards!

Very nice. I am glad you were able to make the turkey cookies. I know it is hard to pick a favorite Santa. I have the same problem with my snowmen!

Your table looks so festive. I thought those turkey cookies were so easy to make. I'll probably make them again next year. :-)

Valerie, I'm having e-mail problems, so...If I understand your questions correctly--your daughter is married and kept her maiden name...So, Janice Sessums was her maiden and she married Kenneth Gibson; address the card to Ms. Janice Sessums and Mr. Kenneth Gibson. This is one reason Southern brides use their maiden names as their middle name. She could have been Janice Sessums Gibson--no hypen please...I hope this answers your question. Remember, she's not Mrs. Janice Sessums and obviously not Miss Janice Sessums.
