Philippians 4:9-13 (King James Version)

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I love this passage. Isn't it a great thing to aim for, this kind of trust. No matter what state I am in Christ will strengthen me.

I have to admit though I am one of the rich of this world, never been hungry, never been without shelter, never have know real need. So...I guess this applies to me,

1 Timothy 6:17-19 (King James Version)

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Thank God for all he's given me!
