Today is Teacup Tuesday hosted by Kim of Shabby, Pink and Pretty.
My teacup today is a Nasco Japan cup and the pattern is Rose Marie.
Okay, here's the story. Whether semi- consciously or subconsciously, I do not know, I managed to pack all my teacups. So, of course that meant I needed to get more. Now I figured I would hit this one shop that I know usually has cute little china cups for fairly reasonable and get one for me and one for daughter.

Off my little companion and I went in search of cups for Teacup Tuesday. Sure 'nough, they had beautiful little bone china teacups for $10.00 for cup and saucer, so $20 for two. But... as we were looking around we spotted these, 4 plates, 4 bread plates, 4 saucers, and 4 cups. I don't really like to say how much but... $7.99. Okay, so ya, I know it's more to pack but alas, I had to.

Plan to tote the rest along with us in case we get the chance for some downtime and tea along the way.
Portable tea party!!

Your teacup today is beautiful. I love the pattern and the colors. Even more, I love your idea of a portable tea party. What a great idea for when you are traveling. I don't get a chance to do a lot of traveling, but when I do, making a pot of tea and being able to use all of my pretty china is one of the things I miss the most about being away from home.

I like your portable tea party. I found a case a few weeks ago at one of the antique shops downtown and I'm going to paint it.

When are y'all leaving? We only have a little less than 2 weeks! It sure will be nice to be back in warmer weather, although our change in weather won't be as dramatic as yours!!

Hi Kathryn,
We will be leaving Tuesday. I have to put in 4 hours on Memorial day (3-7 pm) and then plan to pack the rest of the office gear Monday night. Pretty exciting. I am planning to do one more Teacup Tuesday before I tear everything down. Should be back up and running before you guys leave CT. Take care!
